The festival took place between 6th – 15th April (during the Easter holidays) engaging with children and families directly through a fantastic programme of events across Brighton & Hove with the main programme taking place at Komedia. The theme for 2012 was Courage and Bravery – taken from the Paralympics values – and the festival is challenging families in Brighton & Hove to feel the fear and do it anyway!
Highlights included Dancing in the Dark, Daring Dress Up, a Mass Sea Swim and a clay workshop to make a Scary Monster.
The 2012 Children’s Festival was co-produced with Brighton and Hove City Council on behalf of Brighton and Hove Arts Commission.
