Theatre Fideri Fidera

Founded by Komedia directors Marina Kobler and Colin Granger, Theatre Fideri Fidera is an Anglo-Swiss touring company dedicated to creating accessible, entertaining, original theatre for children and their families.

When the company produces a new play it always aims to create something that will offer audiences a shared experience, and something that will work equally well in a traditional theatre space or in a village hall.

After rehearsing and premiering its work at Komedia, Theatre Fideri Fidera goes on to tour venues and theatres throughout the UK and Ireland, and has performed at leading theatre such as Lowry, Curve, MAC, the ARC Stockton, Horse and Bamboo, Lyric Hammersmith, and the Half Moon as well as with ten rural touring schemes

Plays

Pitschi, the Kitten with Dreams

It was absolutely wonderful, a beautiful, moving, creative and engaging story for under 7s. The props, illustrations, music and singing, use of water, bells and accents make the whole experience sensory which is crucial for young audiences. This is exactly what first theatre experiences should be like. Magical.”

Susy Payne, The Arc about Pitschi, the Kitten with Dreams

Oskar’s Amazing Adventure

★★★★★ “Combining brilliant storytelling, beautiful handmade stuffed animals and plenty of songs and actions for us all to join in with, this is a charming and thoughtful piece of theatre for younger children. Furry friends, foxes and fun for all the family, this delightful show is a real treat for everyone…”

Ugg ’n’ Ogg and the World’s First Dog

★★★★★ “Outstanding. Every aspect of the production is marvellous. From the acting, which is pitched perfectly to the wide-eyed wee ones; to the puppets and puppetry, which are in turn beautifully constructed and wondrously brought to life; via the story itself which is full of heart and smiles.”

Edinburgh 49 about Ogg ’n’ Ugg and the World’s First Dog

Will Tell and the Big Bad Baron

★★★★★ “There’s singing along to genuinely funny songs, hilarious dancing, great puppetry and a few ‘he’s behind you’ pantomime moments, which had the kids in the audience shouting, clapping and laughing along throughout and the genuinely loud laughs seemed to be shared equally between young and old”
Neil Jones, ManchesterTheatres.com
